“Where bamboo exists – No Worries!”. That’s what Garo people say, and where traditional architecture is concerned, they take this saying seriously. Not only they built functional structures from bamboo, mainly for living and storage, but they also do it beautifully. Garo traditional tribal architecture is a magnificent example of vernacular architecture, that should serve as an inspiration fer everyone who is involved in architecture, design and construction.
