It was named after his wife – “Elisabeth – Elisheva”. The complex was closed in the late 1940s. It was then renovated and reopened in\u00a01949 under the new name “Hotel Genossar”. The hotel was popular among Israelis and tourists, and people from the area came to the theater to enjoy famous plays and films. It is abandoned since the end of the 1960s. Its\u00a0beautiful dome collapsed during a fire in 2001.
