Venice Morning Concert – The people who make the city

posted in: West Europe

It was back in 2005 when an unplanned visit to Venice turned into a week-long stay. I was fascinated by the city, and explored it mainly out of the day-tourists’ time. I specifically felt respect for those who wake up early in the morning to prepare the city – sweeping, collecting garbage, loading, carrying and unloading, through the meandering alleys and canals.
It took 11 years to visit Venice again. On 29th of June 2016 I got up early and took some footage of Venice in the morning. With Vivaldi on the background, the footage became an editing Étude, an urban concert dedicated to those who make Venice.

Music:
Antonio Vivaldi – Concerto for 2 Cellos in G minor, RV 531
