Niš, like any other Serbian town, contains an interesting variety of modernist architecture. From small apartment buildings with delicate simple modernist lines to large high rise brutalist blocks, and magnificent public buildings. Together with humane scale street design, rich street commerce and pleasant public realm, Niš provides a very good urban environment, still not affected by international brands and malls culture.
