Israelis are fed up with the government and the Knesset parliament members, who don’t seem to care about people. This has been going for quite a while, but the Coronavirus crisis enhanced the situation. With Prime Minister Netanyahu undergoing a corruption trial, people demand his immediate resignation and call for sane leadership. Protests are intensifying all over Israel. The following photos were taken during a massive protest in Kikar Tsarfat (“France Square”), not far from the Prime Minister residence at Balfour Street, on July 23rd, 2020. Thousands participated. A classical music concert followed by a meditation session started the event. It then became more and more energetic and intense, until eventually the police dispersed the protesters with anti riot vehicles shooting intense water currents on people.
